Build the visit around your property
A property with a lanai, pool area, detached garage or waterfront features can need different checks from a condominium unit. During your free assessment, we identify the areas that can be visited safely and included in your agreement.
We confirm the authorized tasks and readings, how access works, and who should be contacted about a concern. The service covers agreed visual observations; pool servicing, repairs and specialist work remain separate.
Check evacuation and flood information separately
Charlotte County’s evacuation-zone page provides an address lookup and emergency-planning guidance. The county advises residents to follow official recommendations rather than storm category alone.
Its flood-information page provides flood-risk resources and access to property mapping tools. Review the relevant maps and discuss insurance questions with your insurer.
Agree on preparation and follow-up
Before a period away, decide who handles outdoor items, vendor access and other authorized preparations. Confirm separate quotes for shutters, heavy work or tasks outside the agreed service.
After severe weather, Lantern can document visible conditions when roads and property access are safe. Scope, timing and availability must be confirmed; Home Watch is not emergency response.
Stay informed between trips
Review visit reports, photos and agreed readings through your private homeowner portal. You can also request concierge help for arrivals, deliveries or other property needs.
